The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
(John 4:23-24)
Our Beliefs
-
WE believe the Bible reveals that Yeshua is the Son of Yahweh and was the “word who became flesh” as God who dwelled among us. He was conceived by Holy Spirit and a virgin named Mary. He lived a sinless life submitting Himself to His Heavenly Father while doing and saying what He saw and heard His Father doing. Powerful miracles and teachings of authority that revealed His true nature, accompanied His presence. He chose to carry our sin and death on the cross so that He could also offer us abundant life, peace and reconciliation with our Heavenly Father. He conquered death and sin, and showed Himself to His followers after rising from the dead. He released His Holy Spirit to mankind as He ascended into heaven with a promise He’d return. At that time, He will judge the living and the dead and He patiently waits while trying to lead us into choosing life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For Yahweh did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

WE believe the Bible shows how the Holy Spirit of God was actively involved in the creation of humanity along with the world we live in. We believe Holy Spirit is the gift Yeshua/Jesus has given to us when He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. Holy Spirit leads us into truth, repentance, right relationship with God, renews us, empowers us as we are connected to His presence. Holy Spirit supernaturally endows the Church with gifts to be used in life, worship, work, and witness.
-
WE believe that the God-breathed Bible records God’s intentional and consistent pursuit of a loving relationship with humanity. The bible reveals His grace, mercy, forgiveness and redemption through story after story of the unfaithfulness of humanity and the continued faithfulness of God. Simply put, the Bible proves that He first loved us and has invited us into repentance, reconciliation and into right(eous) relationship through His profound kindness.
-
WE believe we are spiritual and physical beings. Humanity was created pure and in His image and yet we’ve all sinned and fallen short of the purity of relationship He designed us for. This sin leads us into fear, shame, anger, and separation as we become both self-centered and short-sighted. The wages of sin is death BUT God has offered us grace and mercy through faith in His son. Whoever believes in His heart and confesses with His mouth that Jesus is Lord will be saved. The regeneration by Holy Spirit draws us into reconciliation with our Creator as He leads us into new abundant life. God offers humanity an invitation to be connected with Himself, the source of all life. Those that accept that invitation are adopted as His children and our lives are spent becoming increasingly more like our Father.

WE believe that the Church is the collection of all people past, present and future who have been adopted into the family of God. There are many local expressions of the greater church that look different based on time period, culture and various factors. The Water’s Edge community is one of those expressions. We’ve had seasons of predominantly older or predominantly college-aged or a mix of both with a number of families involved now. Regardless of where you are in life, you are welcome to come as you are and join us as we hold space for God’s presence to meet with us personally and communally. Our desire is to build the Kingdom of God, not the kingdom of Water's Edge. If you are new to the area or the faith, we invite you to come check us out. If we aren't quite the right fit, let us help you find what part of the body (other church) that'll help you become more like Him!
